Mélik-Watch Paris Ruby and Diamond Necklace, c. 1950–1964

An exceptional ruby and diamond necklace by Mélik-Watch Cie, Paris, circa 1950–1964, articulated in 18-carat yellow gold and platinum. The setting alternates 113 round and oval rubies, estimated together at approximately 20 carats, with eighty small brilliant-cut diamonds, estimated at approximately 2.80 carats. A bold and richly coloured example of mid-century Parisian jewellery.
