Roman Fortuna Panthea Intaglio Ring in Gold and Diamonds
An ancient green hardstone intaglio, probably depicting the winged syncretic goddess Fortuna Panthea, is set within an oval bezel surrounded by sixteen brilliant-cut diamonds in 18-carat yellow gold. The Roman Imperial engraved gem is dated to the 1st–3rd century AD, while the mount is 20th-century. The composition brings a rare classical image into a striking modern jewel.
