An exceptional pair of Van Cleef & Arpels platinum diamond clips, designed as radiating snowflakes and set with 172 diamonds: 120 baguette-cut and 52 round brilliant-cut diamonds, with a total estimated weight of approximately 10.8 carats, estimated F–G colour, VVS–VS clarity.
Each clip is signed VAN CLEEF & ARPELS, numbered 59.124, and bears the maker’s mark of the Parisian workshop Robert Ehret. The Snowflake design is documented by the Maison from 1946 and remains one of its most recognisable post-war creations.
A closely related pair, made by Van Cleef & Arpels New York in 1946, belonged to Doris Duke and was sold at Christie’s New York in 2004.
